Let’s fund 15 Greeks to attend Rowe Morrow’s PDC!

Howdy co-creators!

This year, in September 2015, we’re organising a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) with Rosemary Morrow in Greece. For those of you who don’t know what this is, a PDC is an intensive course to teach people how to design resilient and sustainable eco-systems.

My name is Tina Lymberis and for the last 5 years, I’ve tuned into my permaculture passion: I’ve been organising and teaching seminars, sustaining a blog about permaculture with educational articles in greek (www.kangouro.gr), starting transition initiatives and now I’m about to print Greece’s first permaculture guide in Greek (earth user’s guide to permaculture, Rosemary Morrow).

The request is simple: raise enough cash to sponsor 15 Greek students to be able to attend this PDC and to give away 50 freshly translated permaculture books!

That’s it!

What We Need & What You Get

15 PDC spaces X €700 = €10,500
50 permaculture books X €40 = €2,000
Fees (paypal, fundraising platform, misc) = €2,500
TOTAL = €15,000

Perks = feel good about supporting Greeks to reclaim and love their land! Know that giving = receiving. We simply do not have the luxury of adding perks, since this would add to the funds we would need and to the time to organise it all. However, unofficially, if you do decide to visit Greece, and have contributed over €100, the people you have supported, will be happy to host you on their project/land, since we are very hospitable generally!

If we don’t reach our entire goal, whatever we do raise, will be spread amongst the participants to reduce their participation fee. If, on the other hand, we raise more, the funds will support the video-recording and sub-titling of the PDC, so that the material will become accessible to more people!

The Impact
Now is the time for us to spread permaculture in Greece! With the current situation, more and more people are turning to the land and they simply do not know what to do with it! This course inspires solutions and a new way of seeing the world – to see that the solutions are inherent in the so-called ‘problems’ or, as I like to call them, challenges. To see that collaboration is the only way forward, not only with each other, but with the earth!

Other Ways You Can Help
Love it, spread it, tell everyone who cares about our planet and wants to see good things happening in Greece….you know the drill!

Heartfelt gratitude,
Tina
